Notification option for individual user's content

As a user, I want to be notified about only expired and outdated pages where I'm the author.

I may be missing some details of your use case, but based on what's written on this feature request, it is already doable in the Data Center and Server versions of the app!

If you check the option marked with the red arrow at the notification recipients of page expiration tracking settings, and uncheck all the others, then only the authors will be notified when a page becomes expired:

    Am I missing something?

UPDATE: We have released the Better Content Archiving app's cloud version just a few weeks ago. It addresses many points criticized in the Data Center version, including also the flexibility of notifications.

(Our plan is that, if there is interest, we will back-port the most valuable changes from the Cloud version to the Data Center one.)

In the cloud version, notification emails can be configured with more fine grained options. You can choose their schedule (frequency and timing), a CQL that collects the list of pages and blog posts for the notification, an email template (subject and body) and the recipients (many options):

You can group multiple notifications to a so-called notification scheme. Then you can link a scheme to any space. It makes managing notifications consistent among spaces and easy to change.

All in all, this revised approach is extremely powerful and flexible.

🔥 Try this in action now!
