Archiving blog posts Levente Szabo November 26, 2021 07:52 Follow See the discussion: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-2455 Have more questions? Submit a request 28 Comments Date Votes 1 Martin Cleaver April 27, 2015 13:19 I definitely need this. We have automated systems that make blog posts every day or so, so thousands of entries that need to be expired. 1 Patrick Forssell December 15, 2015 08:31 Sounds awesome! We could use this when we need to archive a whole space. 1 EnBW Confluence Support January 25, 2017 14:12 This would be very helpful. We are already using Archving for Confluence to archive pages and it would be great to use the same functions for blogposts. 0 SaschaR June 27, 2017 14:18 We need to archive Blog Posts older than 12 Months so they would disappear from the Global Search. 0 Irina Ageeva June 27, 2017 14:38 Archiving Blog Posts is a crucial topic for us at the moment! Would be great, if you could work on this solution! 0 Simon Sattes June 28, 2017 05:25 +1 - it's a mandatory feature for large blogs and we definetely need this! 0 Veth Ilona June 28, 2017 06:34 We urgently need the option to archive blog posts and would be very happy if you could make this possible for us. 0 Patrick Schindler June 28, 2017 07:42 Thumbs Up! This would be a great convenience for us! We will be very happy if this plugin will be developed by you. 0 Martin Will June 28, 2017 12:59 I think this feature would be very helpful and having an archive seems to me to be a standard functionality. 0 Agnes Gehle June 28, 2017 13:11 I would appreciate this! 0 topor-grabowski June 28, 2017 13:14 Would like to have this feature, thx 2 carl stoltenberg June 28, 2017 13:14 +1 - it's a mandatory feature for large blogs and we definetely need this! 0 topor-grabowski June 28, 2017 13:16 i really need this 1 Levente Szabo June 28, 2017 13:49 Hi, Everyone! Thank you for the votes on this feature request and for all the commenting activity. Especially for the Anwalt.de team, who expressed their interest as a team effort during the last few days. It's appreciated! I wanted to reassure you that this feature has a solid place in our product roadmap, however, it's not that trivial as it may seem. Also, while we value every individual comment, we consider votes from the same organization as one request for the feature. Thanks for your continued trust in the Midori Team and please be sure to follow this feature request, so you always get notified of updates. 0 stefan July 01, 2017 09:58 Would be really great if you could add this feature. A lot of my customers have been using confluence since years now and have gathered a lot of blog entries. 0 Bridget Sweetapple August 21, 2017 22:25 Please consider adding this feature. As a government agency we need to manage information created as official records, and it is the reason we have selected Midori. We need Midori to archive all content including blogs. thank you 0 Laura Sheppard September 18, 2017 17:51 This would be a good feature as noted above. I think our theme dictates more than the look and feel of our blog, but also some of the blog functionality. So I'd just want to make sure a blog archive was compatible and tested before I'd implement it. We're using the Refined Wiki theme. thanks. 0 Rebecca Compton November 30, 2017 17:05 Our blog posts have grown significantly in size over the years and an archiving option would be extremely useful for us too! 0 Laura Sheppard February 02, 2018 21:14 Hi Levente, do you have an update on where this is in your product roadmap? I"m asking because the Atlassian discussion you reference is for a resolved issue about being able to move individual blog posts, that was complete in version 5.5. We have archive spaces already created through the Archiving add-in tool, and now need a way to get those posts from 5 years ago bulk moved from the production space to the archived space. I don't want to do manual work if I can help it, and since we're already using the Archiving tool it would be great if that worked on blog post files as well. Thanks. 0 Aron Gombas February 05, 2018 08:24 Laura, Thanks for your interest in archiving blog posts! Let me share some details about the product roadmap. The very next app version: will be out in the next few days (I hope) with 2 super-valuable improvements (with lots of votes on the corresponding feature requests): multiple supervisors per space, page view info initialization. Then the next release: will focus on improving the user interactions. We want to make it easier to execute "quick actions" on pages, instead of manipulating page labels. (It will both make the app easier to use and reduce the risk of making mistakes.) So, archiving blog posts isn't in the near term list. But, reviewing the votes on this feature requests against other, now I increased its priority in our internal storyboard. It will definitely come, but there is no public release date I could share, sorry. 0 Laura Sheppard February 05, 2018 22:47 Thanks for the response Aron. Will look forward to hearing more as your storyboard develops. 0 Paul Barrett June 07, 2019 11:55 @Aron Do you have any updates on the progress on this since your last comment in 2018? This is a much needed feature for us as well! Cheers, Paul 0 Michelle Douma October 01, 2019 16:54 I'd like to cast my vote for archiving blog posts! We have a need for this as well. 0 Jan Priebe November 27, 2019 07:41 We urgently need this, too. I was a bit disappointed yesterday when I found out that archiving blogs is not possible. For us this is also crucial and more important than archiving pages, as we have 10 blog posts in average only in our corporate news space, which now gives us headaches when searching. Could you give an update on the planned implementation? 0 Aron Gombas November 27, 2019 08:01 Jan, it is in our mid-term roadmap, but there is no explicit target date. 0 Linda Dorn August 03, 2020 11:05 Urgently needed 0 Ilkka Kiiskinen November 26, 2021 07:42 Upvoting this as well.https://www.midori-global.com/products/better-content-archiving-for-confluence/server/documentation/page says:"The app supports flexible content workflows, lifecycle and retention strategies for Confluence pages, blog posts, attachments, comments and other types of content. It drastically enhances your content management processes through consistent workflows and automation. "This is confusing. 0 Onni Nieminen November 26, 2021 07:52 This feature would be very helpful. We don't need over one year old blog posts and archiving them manually one by one would be nonsense. Please sign in to leave a comment.
