Translated (internationalized) interface and notification emails

The most actively requested language is German, but we are open to hear if there are other languages requested. We'd also be happy to hear if someone is willing to help with the translations.

Custom interface and notification emails, rather then translated would be 10 times better.

You wouldn't need different files for each language, and everyone can write their own custom text according to their preference.

We have Users of 4 different languages. It would be great if there is a simple possibility to have Page-View-Dialog in the language of the Users and a customizeable Help-Link per Space.

The Plugin is great, but in the language of the user it would have even more acceptance.

A translation of the whole app and the notifications into German would be good. I think the acceptance of the users would be even better if the app is available in their language they mainly speak.

For our 2000 person company, which speaks mainly German, Italian and French, a translation would be very important: German, Italian and French would be absolutely necessary.

I take the liberty of asking a critical question:
Atlassian Confluence is in use worldwide. In language areas with several 100 million non-English speaking potential customers. Why develop an app that does not offer language support?

Jürgen, you are absolutely encouraged to ask critical questions!

So, the answer is not that we don't care, we forgot about it, or we are just too lazy.

The reason is that we prioritize new features by the value that they create. Some months ago we released the "page owner" concept, and we're now busy with the user stories "archiving blog posts" and "pick up the page owner from external apps to avoid double-management of owners".

These are considered more important than a localized UI. Or, in other words, having "page owners in English only" is better than "not having page owners, but in German".

It doesn't mean that localization will not happen. It means that we are super-conscious when prioritizing our backlog.

    I hope you understand.

    Hi Aron

Now, that the concept of 'page owners' is rolled out, a concept of 'language support' with customiseable email-notifications would be great!
Your addon is wonderful, but the employees do not understand the dialogs and the emails. So they use this as an excuse to do nothing....

Therefore the internationalization is a feature.

    Thanks for your understanding.

A possibility to configure the language of the UI, especially of the panel on top of each page, stating the current status, would be greatly appreciated and is absolutely necessary!

If the users do not understand it, then they will not use it.

But the possibility to completely configure the notification emails is great! Thanks for that.

Required language (for me) would be German.

Edit: would also be willing to help with translations.
I already translated the notification emails to German, so I could provide that. But more important is to translate the panel on each page, stating the current status.

    Best regards
