It would be very nice to be able to archive pages based on a "last viewed" criteria. For example, there may be pages that you don't want to have to assign a no archive property to but it will still be archived after a certain number of days of not being updated. You would still want to keep this page however if it was being looked at on a monthly basis though. In summary, keep pages that are still being viewed but not updated. Please consider this. Thanks!
The primary purpose of a wiki is for content to be read, not just written. It would therefore seem counter intuitive to archive pages that are being viewed, even on an irregular basis.
It may be the case that the viewing of a page only twice a year warrants it being left in place. Having some sort of selectable elapsed time since the last viewing or date range would be an ideal addition to this plugin.
For the purpose of archiving or removal or update It is imperative to know if a page is not being viewed. Regardless of when it was created, if a page is getting zero views after x months, I like to know and find out why and then take an action.
I agree. Our archiving process needs to include a way to ignore/not archive often-read pages that are not updated often.
@Kristin what you mention here is different from the original request, and is already possible for years!
you can mark pages with the "noarchive" and "noarchive-single" labels to have the plugin ignore them. see the manual: http://midori.hu/products/confluence-archiving-plugin/documentation/#manual-archiving

i'd like a way of archiving things that aren't viewed, not just reporting on it.
initially, I'd suggest you double check if those pages are not relevant anymore. if that's the reason for not viewing them, you can add the "archive" label and they will be automatically cleaned up.
if the reason is different (ex: they are not linked from anywhere, they are place in the wrong location, etc.), you may want to fix that actual reason.
nevertheless we will consider implementing auto-archiving for not-viewed pages later.

I foresee my company buying this add-on as well...just gotta get around to it...I have a little time as our 2 installations are just 6 months old but teaching people that they must maintain/archive their content is a definite must!

even if this particular feature "archived what was not viewed recently" is not available in the current version, everything else is there to keep your content uptodate.

Midori is happy to tell that Archiving Plugin 3.0.0 was released some days ago. I'm even happier to tell that the new release implements the "Archiving pages based on a 'last viewed' criteria" feature!
In nutshell: the plugin tracks the last view date of each page, and allows you to configure an automatic report to find the pages not viewed by anyone in the last N days. You can turn on or off this feature and set the value of N at space level.
Looking at those pages the plugin can help you to get insights into “why is that content not used?”. If you decide so, you can just add the archive label to those pages, and the plugin will automatically archive them in the background.
