We have released Commit Policy Plugin version 2.0.0 some days ago.

It integrates well with Bitbucket Cloud and can validate commits at commit time: http://www.midori-global.com/products/jira-commit-policy-plugin/documentation/git-with-bitbucket-cloud

(Please note that even with this release this is still a JIRA P2 type add-on. That means that it can only be used in hosted JIRA instances.)

Jira Cloud support would be extremely useful for us.

I seem to be looping when trying to find a way to get this client-side post commit check configured and working for my developers. We're running JIRA Software Cloud and Bitbucket Cloud and following http://www.midori-global.com/products/jira-commit-policy-plugin/documentation/git-with-bitbucket-cloud does not get me anywhere.

I am looking for a step-by-step guide on how to get this working.

What I'm trying to achieve is to make it mandatory for my developers to include the issue key when commiting code.

*Edit - Sorry. Sometimes you don't see the forest for the trees. I guess they could'nt have made this option anymore visible unless popping out of my screen. All fixed now.

    Cheers

    Hello Thomas,

Thanks for your comment and your interest in Commit Policy Plugin!

Please note that this here is a feature request, as Commit Policy Plugin can only be used in self-hosted JIRA instances. Sorry for any confusion.

Your use case and request is clear and I can assure you that the product development team has the Cloud-hosted version on the road map.

Please also vote (click "thumbs up") on this feature request and don't forget to follow the article, so you get notified about any updates.

This would be very useful if implemented fully in the cloud version as well.  Specifically I am looking to write a hook that ensures only acceptable usernames can push.

Is there any update on this? We want to use Better commit policy for cloud jira and cloud bitbucket.
