Currently you have to go to the space, go for the configurations > edit and set them to the wanted global configuration.
It should be possible to select them in in the global configurations within the confluence configurations, so its much faster to give all spaces there configs.
This absolutely makes sense, I myself also need this convenience function time to time.

In Archiving Plugin 4.4.0 or newer, you can bulk-apply global configurations to spaces by clicking the "apply" link at the configuration!
