    I want to have a Dashboard that shows hours logged in a particular time period by a User, a Project or for a particular customer. This feature is not available in JIRA - very frustrating! Better Excel Plugin for JIRA looks like it will do exactly what I need, but I we are running JIRA Cloud. Would you please create a version for JIRA Cloud?

    This tool has been crucial for our company to help measure ticket ages by state.  This helps us track our turnaround time for getting customer proposals out the door as well as our device repairs.  We currently have a hosted server but we are getting pressured by Atlassian to move to cloud as they are moving to end of life for the server variety.  We are looking to make the move in early 2021 but not having this will hurt. I have upvoted each folks comments if that is what helps.

    This plugin is invaluable, it's features and ease of use are superb. 

    Please do implement it for JIRA Cloud as soon as possible.

    We use Better Excel for JIRA and Zephyr reports. For now, we have the JIRA Server offer but we will migrate to JIRA Cloud. It would be great to be able to keep our reports on Better Excel Cloud.

    We still can't offer a release date on this and count on your continued patience. The plans for Better Excel Exporter Cloud are not abandoned, but we are asking you again to hold on for a little longer and keep following this thread!

    This also seems to be exactly what I need. I don't want do host my own Jira. The cloud solution is perfect for me. But I really needed better reporting and dashboard.

    The wait is almost over!

    As you can read in previous comments, preparations for the beta testing have been underway for a while. This means that Better Excel Exporter Cloud is getting in very good shape.

    Actually, we hit a milestone and we are making the first steps in opening up Better Excel Exporter Cloud for the first few who are interested!


    This is not actually the "beta" state, let's call it "alpha". I explained this in a little more depth on our Slack, please join the conversation there.

    The main thing is this: Reply here or send me an email at levente.szabo@midori-global.com if you are an early-bird and ready to try Better Excel Exporter for Jira Cloud!

    This would be a big deal for us as well... At the last Summit, it seemed pretty clear to me that by making the decision to not develop the Connect interface for server instances, Atlassian is (intentionally or not) de-emphasizing server instances.  That being the case, I plan on moving to a hosted instance in the future (even though I'd prefer to remain on server).  The only real limitation keeping me on server at this point is my reliance on the Better Excel plugin for advanced reporting.  I love the plugin and would hate to have to find workarounds...

    We have many customers (we are an Atlassian Solution Partner) using Better Excel extensively in Server.  Now we plan migration to cloud and it is really an issue.  It will be really important for us to have a roadmap of the cloud version!!

    Better Excel Exporter Cloud has indeed been on the roadmap for quite a long time, but its exact position on our roadmap changed over time as we had to consider other features and products that created more immediate value for our customers.

    Its position however improved a lot in the recent few months and as I said this February, it is now in the top part of our roadmap and getting much more attention than ever before.

    You will be hearing more about this in the coming months, so, please continue following this place as we will be sharing updates about Better Excel Exporter Cloud here as well as offering potential beta testing invitations, previews and other opportunities for early adopters here.

    Hi is there any updates on a proposed time frame for this?   We are currently in the process of planning our move to the cloud and with no details available we'll have to plan without Better Excel and look of other solutions.

    While we still can't share an official release date, I can assure you that Better Excel Exporter Cloud has a stable place on the product team's roadmap (close to the top of it). We have this planned for the not too distant future and will be communicating about the progress in this comment thread.

    Thank you for the the reply but ultimately that is not of much help, its been on your roadmap for almost the last 2 years based on comments on here.  Without any timeframes given the push from Atlassian to move into the cloud we just cant keep holding.

    Im using the zephyer cloud and there is no way to export excel with description field content... so I had to use other platforms. Its very hard ro work without this option.
    I hope youll add it aoon.

    Right now , we are migrating our jira from server to cloud , but i see that the plugin
    Better Excel Automation is only available for jira server and data center .

    It will be very noce if we can see that plugin in cloud . Really ueseful , especially the excel file as an attachement o the filter subscription .

    I would like to see this option for the cloud. I have used it at my former company and it really helped to be able to send reports to customers and increased customer satisfaction.

    @Levente, this request is just about 6 years old. Where can we locate the link to vote on this issue? If we understand this, its been a priority for some time, but no word on a date, especially as its been on the roadmap for a few years. Can you point me to that roadmap or provide some context here?

    We are on Server and we use Better Excel to generate daily reports. 

    Now we were forced to move to Cloud, we will definitely miss Better Excel in Cloud.

     

    Is there any estimation to get better excel in Cloud ?

    This is really important to us as we use the Excel Exporter for Test reports to Customers and to extract Test results.  We've come to rely on this heavily.  We're really worried about our enforced migration to Jira Cloud as we've not been able to find a suitable alternative.

    I am happy to report that Better Excel Exporter for Jira Cloud has been released for public!

    Thanks a million for your enthusiasm and patience! We worked long hours to deliver this and we are really proud of the final result. In many sense it is even better than the Server and Data Center versions.

    Please go and install it from the Atlassian Marketplace listing or using the installation instructions.
